Legacy Ranch is a project developed by Waxahachie residents John Ed and Kellye Justice. They both have extensive experience in all aspects of real estate from commercial and residential construction, land planning and development, real estate appraisal, and property management. The opening of the new Baylor Scott and White Medical Center spearheaded the move to create a professional office location nearby that would provide off site medical office site options with close proximity and access. The location of Legacy Ranch near the Waxahachie Civic Center and Interstate 35E and Highway 287 Bypass means that a variety of tenants will benefit as well.

The initial phase of the development includes six lots and plans for more on the adjacent property to the south.

Legacy Ranch sits on land that recently was in agricultural use and had cows grazing on its grass. In homage to this and the heritage of the Shawnee Trail running through the town, the rustic logo and other elements were incorporated into the design and planning.
